Lalita is an artist, teacher, and speaker who believes that who we are is our greatest body of work. In 2014, her life was flipped upside down. On a deeply spiritual journey, she began traveling for almost 2 years and ended up in the backwoods of Europe and in the jungles of Costa Rica, learning to hear her own voice. It was there that she practiced yoga, danced, ran and meditated daily. When does this course start? And do I have to show up live?
The course starts on Sunday, January 24th, 2016 and ends on Sunday, January 31st, 2016. It’s a LIVE course, which means you will receive the information LIVE as we move through each class. The point of this course is to practice new types of mediation alongside me and your fellow students. If you aren’t able to make a Morning Meditation--no worries. Each one will be recorded so that you can watch and practice later at your convenience.

What do you mean when you say I’m not my mind? I don’t get it.
We’ll go into this in greater depth in the course, but the main idea is that the belief that we are our minds and emotions leads us to believe whatever we think and feel. We turn these experiences into who we are and thus create a false identity around them. We then carry around this identity in the form of past actions and future aspirations for this fake self made up of thoughts and emotions, most of which are reactionary. This identity can be dense and heavy and it causes us much pain. It’s like looking at your shadow your whole life and thinking that is who you are. It sounds absurd; you know you are not your shadow. You’re the person looking at your shadow. The same goes for your mind. You are not your mind; you are the presence around it, watching and experiencing it. This is what meditation helps you to see.
Can my friends or family enroll too?
Yes! And I hope they do! Many of the meditations I teach are extra fun with friends and in person. Friends can also help to ground the room and create a safe space where you feel open to release and fully experience your emotions.
Is this religious?
Nope.
What if I feel uncomfortable?
You might. Much of these practices are going to help you feel what you’ve been running from. This is why a group is so important! You see, we escape from feeling the present moment by thinking about the past or daydreaming about the future. The result is that we’ve missed right here, right now and all the life force packed into that. Much of what you may experience is the old energy from past experiences wanting to escape. The more you let this go and implement daily practices to keep your vessel (body, mind and spirit) clear, the easier life becomes.
